Description: We can see drivers using peavies along the Madawaska River near the Baisley conveyer. They also used a boat to release logs from the river banks. The Baisley conveyer built log piles along the Madawaska River in the Québec province. Wood came from the Green River woods. A private road was taken by trucks upto here since it was faster and less expensive for the Fraser companies.
