Description: Retrieving wood from the Madawaska River in 1972. Logs stuck at the bottom of the river created pollution. For that reason, the environment laws required that Fraser Companies clean the Madawaska River when the log drive came to an end in 1967. A boat was used to clean the river banks during summer.
