Description: The pulpwood harvest in the Green River area of Fraser Companies Limited Woodlands approaches the end of its journey to the company's pulp and paperboard mill in Edmundston, N. B. Here the logs slide down the sluice from the top of the stacker located by the frozen Madawaska River just north of the mill. Brought to the timber stacker by truck over company roads in mid-winter, the logs are piled on the river's ice to await the spring thaw when they will float down to the mill.
