Description: Salvaging wood from the Madawaska River in 1970. The logs sunk at the bottom of the river were a source of pollution. For that reason, environment laws required that the Fraser companies clean the Madawaska River after the final spring drive in 1967. A skidder was used to pull the logs from the bottom of the river.
