Description: The long working days in the woods and better hygiene methods brought new types of jobs. Here we see René Martin, a blanket washer, at the Summit Depot at the end of the 1950s. It is at the Summit Depot that everything was stored before being delivered to the numerous camps in the region especially food, merchandise, and equipment. The Summit Depot was located along the Right Hand Branch of Belone Brook in the Green River area and was in operation from 1938 to 1975.
