Description: Snowplough at the Summit Depot in the Green River region. We can see the storage building in the background. The Summit Depot was located along the Right Hand Branch Belone Brook, about four kilometers from Third Lake. It was at the Summit Depot from 1938 to 1975 that equipment, merchandise, and food were stored prior to being distributed to the other camps in the area. The Summit Depot was also the site of the construction of Quonset huts. Those camps had a semicircular arching roof of corrugated metal.
