Description: The Summit Depot, located along the Left Hand Branch Belone Brook in the Green River backwoods, operated from 1938 to 1975 and stored food, merchandise and equipment. The first building on the left stored vegetables; the second was the shed where the pre-fab huts were built; the third stored fire-wood, and the fourth housed the blacksmith shop. Finally the building on the right held the offices and the kitchen. Towards the end of the 1950's, Quonset huts were built for the loggers. Notice the Union Jack flag waving in the wind and the 1939 Dodge, which belonged to Mr. Joseph Noël Thibodeau.
