Description: Here are the camps at the head of First Lake in the Green River woodlands. Those camps operated from 1928 to 1931 for the Green River Lumber Ltd. The owner of that company was Mr. Oram B. Davis. His Davis mill was situated along the Green River and operated from 1922 to 1938. Log cabins built for the winter climate were permanent. Loggers resided there to cut timber and prepare the logs for the spring log drive.
