Description: The (Plaster Rock) Fraser sawmill was located on top of a hill. We see two kilns, one at the bottom, near the wood yard, and one on top of the hill, near the sawmill. Boards would be dried before being shipped. Logs were debarked before being sawed into boards in the sawmill. In the sorting room on the right side of the sawmill, wood was sorted by length and quality. The circular construction on the right is the waste incinerator where waste (mostly bark) was burned. We see a wood yard, on the left, and another one in the foreground. Logs were stacked there before being sent to the sawmill. Boards were stacked between the sawmill and the planer room. Boards were then shipped by train.
