Description: From 1955 onward, Fraser hired workers to retrieve wood caught in the bottom of the Madawaska River. This allowed the cleaning of the river and the recuperation of the wood from the river bottom. Here we see a man with a pike pole "fishing" 4-foot logs. This wood was hauled to the Fraser Mill in Edmundston.
