Description: Here is the site for a temporary camp in the 1934 Timber Cruise near McDougall Brook in the Kedgwick region. This man is reading a sheet. Notice the washing board. To determine the area of the assessment, they could use a chain to measure the distance or use the strip sampling method. They had to walk 17.5 feet in one direction and repeat it in the opposite direction to cover a total width of 35 feet. The assessment was conducted inside those limits.
