Murphy Mill on the Davis Road in Green River

Description: The Boys and Murphy mill was steam operated and cut logs into boards. Two mills were in operation, one in Saint Jacques, on "Route du Pont", and the other on the Green River in operation in 1940. The photo shows the Murphy mill in Green River, which operated until 1945. The Saint Jacques mill closed in 1946 when it was destroyed by fire.
