Description: Here is the new Plaster Rock Fraser sawmill, under construction on the hill, as of October 29th, 1973. We notice the old sawmill between the river dam and the bridge. We see two lumber drying kilns: one at the bottom and the other on top of the hill . Boards were dried here once cut. The new sawmill building is where logs were debarked and cut into boards. We also see the storage shed where boards are sorted by length and quality. The circular structure is the waste incinerator were waste (mainly bark) is burned. We notice two wood yards: one at the bottom and one on top of the hill, where boards were stacked before being shipped on trains.
