Description: This Fraser Companies sawmill was located along the Tobique River in Plaster Rock. It was built in 1906. There, logs were sawed into boards. We see the sawmill building on the left. Notice the smoke-stack indicating where bark was burned to produce steam energy. We see the water tank used in case of fire. Near the mill, stood a storage shed where lumber was stored before being shipped by train. On the hill, we see stacks of wooden boards.
