Description: Here pulpwood-bearing bark was run through the debarkers. Steel spiked feed rolls as they turned pushed the logs up and down. The bark was removed by friction. Logs added in back forced the peeled logs out. At the front were 3 pairs of spiked rolls per row and 3 rows per barker. The bottom was serrated and in each space was a pair of spikes. The water was used to flush bark in the sluices under the barkers. The bark was first sent to the press to remove excess water and then to the boiler to be burned (the boiler was known as a dutch oven). From left to right: Mr. Guy Levesque (first), Mr. Paul-Émile Bossé (third).
