Description : From 1995 onward, Fraser hired workers in winter to retrieve wood from the bottom of the Madawaska River. This allowed a cleaning of the river and salvaging of wood. Here we see a man loading a sled with 4-foot logs. The load was then transported to the Fraser mill in Edmundston.
