The Plaster Rock Fraser Sawmill in 1950

Description : This Fraser Companies sawmill, as seen here in 1950, was located along the Tobique River in Plaster Rock. It was built in 1906 and fabricated wooden boards. Notice the chimney indicating where bark was burned. We also see a water tank for fire prevention in the background. At right, we can see a storage shed where lumber was stored before being shipped by train.
