The Plaster Rock Fraser Sawmill in 1955

Description : This Fraser Companies sawmill was located along the Tobique River in Plaster Rock. This sawmill was built in 1906. We see the sawmill building where logs were cut into boards as in this 1955 photo. A conveyor carried wood chips outside the mill, which were loaded in boxcars. Those wood chips were transported to the Edmundston or Atholville Fraser paper mills.
