Installation of a Wood Chipper at the Plaster Rock Fraser Sawmill

Description : We see the installation of the wood chipper and the conveyor at the Plaster Rock Fraser sawmill, on December 11th, 1958. This allowed scrap wood to be transformed into chips by rotating blades fixed on drums. The wood chips were then shipped by train to the Edmundston or Atholville Fraser pulp mills.
