Description : We see the clarifiers of the Madawaska, Maine Fraser mill. Solid wastes were recuperated in this settling basin or tank, gathered by mechanic rakes and removed from the reservoir. Approximately 95% of solid wastes were removed from 20 million gallons of liquid industrial effluent coming from the mill each day.
