Description : Men worked with debarkers (barkers) at the Fraser mill of Edmundston in 1945. It was a seasonal operation. Wood was brought up in a haul-up conveyor after being pulled out of the Madawaska River. Once logs were debarked, they were carried inside by conveyors or piled for winter.
